Hot Cross Bun Tiramisu Dessert

Use your Easter Hot Cross Buns in this classic Italian dessert with a twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 Village Bakery Hot Cross Buns
  • 6 heaped tsp Alcafe Coffee
  • 300ml Boiling Water
  • 250g Mascarpone Cheese
  • 300ml Double Cream
  • 60ml Cromwell Cream Wine
  • 30g Caster Sugar
  • 50g Dark Chocolate

  

Method

  1. Dissolve the coffee in the boiling water.
  2. In a bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, caster sugar, sherry and cream together, until thick.
  3. Grate the chocolate.
  4. Slice the hot cross buns in half and dip into the coffee.
  5. Put one soaked hot cross bun on the base of each tumbler, then top with some of the cream mixture.
