Beef Stew

A delicious hearty stew for the cold winter months.

Ingredients
- 400g Diced Steak Pieces
- 1kg Baby potatoes
- 500g Carrots
- 1 x Beef Casserole pack
- 2 Teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 1 Large onion finely diced
- Fresh thyme
- Salt and black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C standard or 170°C fan.
- Peel and chop the carrots.
- Half the baby potatoes and pan fry on a medium heat with a little oil until they get a nice golden colour. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In the same pan fry the onions and the beef until browned.
- Place the beef, onions, carrots & potatoes in a casserole dish.
- Blend the contents of the sachet in the casserole pack with 425ml of water and add to the casserole dish.
- Cover and cook for 1 and 3/4 hours until the beef is tender.
- Sprinkle over some thyme and salt and pepper.
- Enjoy with seasonal veg or crusty bread.
