Wagyu and Caramelised Onion Ciabatta Rolls

Juicy Wagyu steak in a deliciously soft ciabatta roll.

Ingredients
- 2 Wagyu Fillet Steaks
- 300g Ciabatta Loaf
- 2 Large Red Onions
- 30ml Olive Oil
- 30g Salted Butter
- 15g Soft Brown Sugar
- 15ml Balsamic Vinegar
- 4 Vine Tomatoes
- 40g Fresh Rocket
- Sea Salt and Black Pepper
Method
- Bake the ciabatta in the oven, following directions on the pack.
- Peel and thickly slice the onions.
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan and add olive oil.
- Gently sauté the onions for 10 minutes, then add the sugar and vinegar and season with salt and black pepper.
- Increase the heat and cook until sticky, then place on one side.
- Grill, fry or griddle the steaks for about 5 minutes each side, then allow to rest a few minutes.
- Slice the ciabatta in half, lengthways, then cut into 4.
- Thinly slice the tomatoes and divide the rocket and tomatoes between the bottom rolls.
- Slice the steaks and place on top, then pile on the onions.
- Place the ciabatta tops on and serve.
