Whipped Brie with Chilli and Garlic Oil

Spicy, garlicy cheese – what’s not to love? Whipped brie is the perfect starter or side.

Ingredients

  • 2 x 200g French Brie
  • 100g Crème Fraiche
  • 70ml Rapeseed Oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Granules
  • ½ tsp Chilli Flakes
  • ½ tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 Spring Onion, thinly sliced
  • Sea Salt and Black Pepper

  

Method

  1. Cut the rind off the brie and discard and chop the brie into chunks.
  2. Put the brie and crème fraiche into a blender and blend until smooth, if it’s too thick, add a little more crème fraiche.
  3. Put the chilli, garlic, ginger and paprika into a heatproof bowl.
  4. Heat the oil and pour over – be careful as it might spit.
  5. Stir and season with some salt and pepper and allow to cool.
  6. Serve the whipped brie in a shallow dish, drizzle over the oil and scatter the spring onion on top.
  7. Great served with salted pretzels to scoop.
